OB/GYN Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery Travel Assignment in Sylva, NC
Travel to Sylva, North Carolina, and bring your Labor & Delivery RN expertise to a supportive acute care team. This 13-week travel nursing job offers a consistent night schedule, guaranteed hours, and the chance to provide high-quality maternal-fetal care in a scenic mountain community near the Great Smoky Mountains.

- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 – $1,890
- Unit Size: 5 beds
- Patient Ratio: 1:2 / 1:1

Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery or OB/GYN nursing experience; 1-2+ years preferred
- Associate degree in Nursing or equivalent education
- Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring certifications
- Strong ability to interpret fetal heart rate tracings
- Knowledge of labor medications and the labor and delivery process
- Ability to perform cervical exams and support safe maternal-fetal care
- Team-oriented, friendly, and calm under pressure
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to laboring patients and newborns
- Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout the labor and delivery process
- Read and interpret fetal heart rate tracings and escalate concerns as needed
- Administer labor medications and support all phases of the labor process
- Perform cervical exams and assist with daily unit workflow
- Collaborate closely with physicians, providers, and the care team to maintain safe patient ratios and excellent outcomes
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record
- Deliver a positive patient experience through attentive, reassuring bedside care
