Travel OB/GYN Registered Nurse Job – High-Risk Women’s Health Unit in Nashville, Tennessee
Join a high-acuity women’s health team in vibrant Nashville, Tennessee, where you’ll provide OB/GYN nursing care in a fast-paced hospital setting. This 13-week travel RN assignment offers the chance to support high-risk antepartum patients, assist in labor and delivery, and gain valuable experience in a respected women’s and children’s unit while enjoying everything Nashville has to offer.
Travel RN Job Details
- Location: Nashville, TN 37203
- Healthcare Setting: High Risk OB / Women’s and Children’s Unit
- Start Date: 08/31/2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570 – $1,650
- Float Areas: OBED, Mother Baby, and Labor & Delivery
- Unit Highlights: 25-bed unit with charge nurse/CNC support each shift and documentation in Connect/Expanse
- Dress Code: Navy blue, seal blue, or grey scrubs
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Experience in OB/GYN, labor and delivery, or high-risk antepartum care preferred
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications
- Experience circulating C-sections in an acute care or women’s health setting
- Experience with magnesium drips and high-risk obstetric patients
- Experience in labor and delivery and gynecologic nursing
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity healthcare environment
OB/GYN RN Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to high-risk OB/GYN patients
- Monitor and support antepartum patients with varying levels of acuity
- Assist with labor and delivery care, including vaginal deliveries and C-sections
- Circulate C-sections and support the surgical team as needed
- Manage magnesium drips and recognize changes in patient condition promptly
- Provide bereavement care with professionalism, empathy, and sensitivity
- Collaborate with charge nurses, care teams, and support staff to deliver excellent patient outcomes
- Float to related women’s health areas as needed based on unit needs
