Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license and graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• At least 1 year of acute care nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification required
• STABLE certification required
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Comfort with computer systems, EMR documentation, and clinical charting
• Ability to complete general nursing and unit orientation successfully
• Must be able to follow applicable state vaccination requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, individualized nursing care to patients in the OB/GYN unit using the nursing process
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse
• Deliver age-appropriate care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gynecology patients
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, RN competency, and patient education skills
• Perform general and unit-specific clinical skills independently in a fast-paced obstetrics environment
• Maintain supplies and equipment needed for safe and efficient unit operations
• Support teamwork and effective communication with physicians, providers, and other departments
• Follow confidentiality, safety, and workplace standards at all times
• Contribute to a positive patient experience through compassionate and professional care
