Travel Occupational Therapy Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,810-$1,940
• Location: Statesville, North Carolina
• Healthcare Setting: On-site outpatient rehabilitation services
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts
• Schedule: Five days per week; current schedule is Monday-Thursday, 8:40 a.m.-4:30 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
• Schedule Flexibility: Flexible scheduling may be available

Occupational Therapist Job Requirements

• Active Occupational Therapist license in North Carolina or a compact-eligible license at the time of submission
• At least 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience
• Current experience in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation
• Experience treating post-operative orthopedic hand and wrist conditions
• Demonstrated ability to fabricate dynamic and static custom orthoses
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credentials preferred
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team
• Two recent professional references from a supervisor or supervisory colleague

Travel Occupational Therapist Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients recovering from orthopedic hand and wrist procedures
• Develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on patient goals, functional needs, and clinical findings
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve strength, range of motion, coordination, and functional performance
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust dynamic and static custom orthoses
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, precautions, orthosis use, and recovery expectations
• Document occupational therapy evaluations, treatment progress, and discharge planning accurately and promptly
• Communicate effectively with physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Float within the rehabilitation department or hospital as needed
