Job Details

• Position: Operating Room Technologist / Surgical Technologist
• Employment Type: Travel Healthcare Job
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,420-$1,530
• Shift: Day shift, 12-hour shifts
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week
• Shift Time: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM, with occasional later start times as needed
• On-Call: Required, up to 3 call shifts in an 8-week period
• Weekend Coverage: As needed based on unit requirements
• Floating: May float within scope to like units to meet facility needs
• Setting: Level I Trauma Center, large multi-room OR environment
• Start Date: 10/12/2026

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of operating room experience as a Surgical Technologist or OR Tech
• Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience required
• Travel experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current DORA certification required
• Ability to work in a high-volume perioperative environment with a broad range of procedures
• Strong adaptability, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to support a variety of surgical specialties and patient needs

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room and ensure surgical cases are ready to begin on time
• Assist surgeons and the perioperative team with a wide range of procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and support safe, efficient OR workflows
• Set up, pass, and manage surgical instruments and supplies during cases
• Support trauma, general, orthopedic, gynecologic, neurological, ENT, plastics, and other complex surgical cases
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team in a fast-paced trauma setting
• Participate in call coverage and weekend coverage as required by the unit
• Float within scope to support similar units when needed
