Travel RN Job Details
- Position: Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing
- Setting: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Float Pool
- Location: Columbus, OH 43210
- Start Date: 10/19/2026
- End Date: 1/18/2027
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Shifts per Week: 3
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940-$2,040
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Weekend Requirement: Minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
- Floating: Required to float to different units as needed
- Schedule Notes: Some weekends and holidays required
Med/Surg Tele RN Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Active compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission
- BLS required
- ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS required
- Epic charting experience required
- Strong skills in IV starts and telemetry monitoring
- Experience interpreting dysrhythmias and managing common telemetry patients
- Ability to care for adult and geriatric patient populations
- Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Two professional references required, including one from a manager, director, or supervisor
Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to Med/Surg Tele patients
- Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Perform IV starts and maintain peripheral access as needed
- Support care needs such as wound care, respiratory support, and post-procedure recovery
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote positive patient outcomes
- Float to other units based on staffing and patient care needs
- Document accurately in Epic and follow unit standards and clinical protocols
- Contribute to a supportive, team-oriented environment focused on excellent patient care
