Job Requirements

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience in the specialty
• Current hands-on experience in Med/Surg Telemetry required
• BLS certification required
• Experience with telemetry interpretation and cardiac monitoring
• Comfort working with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred
• Epic experience required
• Oncology nursing experience preferred but not required
• Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to medical-surgical telemetry patients with complex diagnoses
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly recognize changes in patient status
• Support patients receiving treatment for solid tumor cancers and related medical conditions
• Administer medications and treatments according to the plan of care and clinical protocols
• Maintain strong infection prevention practices and patient fall precautions
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and other interdisciplinary partners
• Float to other Med/Surg oncology units as needed
• Document care accurately in Epic and support smooth unit operations
• Deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced healthcare environment focused on safety, teamwork, and excellent patient outcomes
