Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) Jobs – 13-Week Contract in Danville, Illinois
Join an acute-care medical-surgical team as a travel Registered Nurse (RN) in Danville, Illinois. This on-site travel nursing opportunity offers meaningful patient care, 12-hour day shifts, and 36 guaranteed hours per week in a collaborative hospital environment. Travel Nursing Job Details

Medical-Surgical RN Job Requirements
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license, or confirmation that the licensing process has been initiated
- At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Current NIHSS certification
- Proficiency with electronic health records; EPIC experience preferred
- Ability to provide a negative drug screen in accordance with facility requirements
- Strong patient assessment, communication, organization, and clinical nursing skills
Travel RN Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a range of medical and surgical conditions
- Perform nursing assessments, monitor patient status, and promptly identify changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, ancillary departments, patients, and families to coordinate care
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately in EPIC
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, recovery, and discharge instructions
- Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and evidence-based medical-surgical nursing practices
