Job Requirements
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- At least 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
- Experience with telemetry or cardiac-focused care preferred
- Ability to adapt to rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
Responsibilities
- Assess patient and family needs and develop individualized plans of care
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
- Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration and monitoring patient response
- Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans based on changing needs
- Educate patients and families on self-care, recovery, and health maintenance after discharge
- Promote safety, infection prevention, and quality improvement in daily nursing practice
- Support a healing environment through compassionate communication and emotional support
- Contribute to team success by delegating appropriately, communicating effectively, and assisting with unit workflow
