• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,480 – $2,610
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: Typically 3 shifts per week
• Weekend Requirement: Yes, as needed to support staffing needs
• Float Requirement: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs
• Orientation: 40 hours
• Charting System: Epic
• Patient Population: High-risk obstetrics, postpartum, and newborn care

Job Requirements

• Active California RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• Postpartum nursing experience preferred
• Current ACLS, BLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP certifications required
• Experience with high-risk OB, cesarean section circulation, and newborn care strongly preferred
• Strong Epic charting experience required
• Ability to float within scope and adapt to changing unit needs
• Comfort working in a culturally diverse, fast-paced hospital environment
• Must be available for weekend coverage as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients
• Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and recovery care
• Support high-risk obstetric patients and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Perform newborn assessments, postpartum assessments, and patient education
• Administer medications and therapies commonly used in obstetric care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in Epic
• Provide compassionate education and support to patients and families throughout the delivery experience
• Float within scope when needed to support unit and facility operations
• Promote a safe, organized, and patient-centered environment on every shift
