Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,580-$1,700
- Location: Topeka, Kansas
- Setting: Acute Care Hospital

- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks

- Weekend Expectation: 3 weekend days per 6-week schedule

- Charting System: Epic preferred

Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy experience
- Active Kansas Physical Therapist license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, or hospital-based therapy preferred
- Comfort working with adult and geriatric patient populations
- Ability to float within scope to like units as needed
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients in the ED, ortho/spine unit, rehab unit, telemetry, and med-surg units
- Provide skilled physical therapy care for general medical, orthopedic, neurologic, spine, and post-surgical diagnoses
- Support mobility, strength, balance, gait training, transfers, and functional recovery
- Develop and adjust individualized plans of care based on patient progress and clinical needs
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safe mobility, and discharge planning
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote positive outcomes
