- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Nights, 3×12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Shifts Per Week: 3
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,000 – $1,080
- Schedule Notes: Weekends as needed; holidays as needed
- Time Off: Up to 7 days of requested time off preferred
- Additional Requirement: May be expected to work major holidays during the assignment
Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of EMT experience required
- 2 years of EMT experience preferred per assignment guidelines
- Valid Pennsylvania EMT license required
- Current NREMT certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- EPIC experience required
- Travel experience required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced EMS environment and follow established protocols
- Comfortable caring for a wide range of patient age groups, including pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
- Must maintain professional standards in a tobacco- and fragrance-free environment
Responsibilities
- Respond to EMS calls and provide patient care in accordance with applicable rules, regulations, and EMT scope of practice
- Deliver safe, efficient patient transport and support emergency medical operations
- Perform core EMT duties, including obtaining vital signs, CPR, airway support, glucometer checks, and 12-lead EKG acquisition when applicable
- Assist with safe patient transfers, stretcher transport, and application of restraints as needed
- Operate ambulance equipment and complete accurate documentation in EPIC
- Maintain equipment readiness, cleanliness, and infection control standards
- Support care for a broad range of patients, including those requiring COVID precautions
- Work collaboratively with EMS team members to provide responsive, compassionate care across York County and Shrewsbury County
