Travel Nursing Job Details
- Specialty: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
- Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing assignment

- Start Date: November 2, 2026
- End Date: January 28, 2027
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470-$2,600
- Schedule: 36 hours per week; 12-hour day shifts, approximately 11:00 a.m.-11:30 p.m.
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend, typically Friday and Saturday
- Additional Scheduling: Call and holiday rotation; availability to work two of the three holidays during the assignment is required
- Work Setting: On-site Emergency Room unit
- Schedule Requests: Time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application
Emergency Room Registered Nurse Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Connecticut
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
- Minimum of 1 year of prior travel nursing experience in an Emergency Room setting
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIH Stroke Scale credentials
- Strong emergency assessment, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to work day shifts, rotating weekends, call, holidays, and additional hours when needed to support unit coverage
Emergency Room RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with emergent, urgent, and complex medical conditions
- Perform rapid emergency assessments, monitor patient status, and identify changes requiring immediate intervention
- Administer medications and treatments, initiate appropriate interventions, and coordinate timely patient care
- Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary team to support safe, efficient emergency and trauma care
- Document assessments, interventions, reassessments, and patient outcomes accurately and promptly
- Apply emergency, trauma, stroke, and cardiac care principles in a high-acuity Emergency Room environment
- Provide compassionate communication and education to patients and families during stressful situations
- Support the Psych Hold area when needed and participate in unit coverage rotations
