Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) – 12-Hour Night Shift in Pontiac, Michigan

Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000-$2,100
- Location: Pontiac, Michigan, in the Metro Detroit area
- Healthcare Setting: Emergency Room and acute care
- Nursing Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekend and Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and every other holiday
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks, ending January 17, 2027
- Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse assignment
Emergency Room RN Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure eligible for practice in Michigan
- At least 1 year of recent Emergency Room or Emergency Department nursing experience
- Emergency Room RN experience in a fast-paced acute care setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
- Epic electronic health record experience preferred
- Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and critical-thinking skills
Emergency Room Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Assess, triage, and provide skilled nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of emergency conditions
- Recognize changes in patient status and respond promptly to urgent and life-threatening situations
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate timely patient care
- Monitor patient responses to treatment and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes
- Provide education, emotional support, and clear communication to patients and families
- Follow emergency department protocols, patient safety standards, and infection-prevention practices
