Travel Healthcare Job Details
- Job Title: Cath Lab Technologist (Rad Tech)
- Assignment Type: 13-week travel contract
- Start Date: November 16, 2026
- End Date: February 15, 2027
- Location: On-site in Oak Ridge, Tennessee
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- Shifts: Five 8-hour day shifts per week; approximately 40 hours weekly
- Call: Rotating call schedule, with additional call shifts as needed or available for trade
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,150-$2,310
- Charting: Cerner experience preferred
- Orientation: Facility orientation provided
Cath Lab Technologist Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of current Cath Lab Technologist experience required
- Previous travel assignment experience required
- Community hospital experience required
- Current ARRT (R), RCIS, or RCES certification required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification may be obtained after offer
- Current Tennessee licensure and required certifications must be in hand at the time of submission
- Ability to participate in rotating call and float according to department and facility needs
- Strong understanding of sterile technique and cardiac catheterization procedures
Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist Responsibilities
- Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
- Support left- and right-heart catheterizations and percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty procedures
- Assist with Impella insertion, balloon pump procedures, fractional flow reserve, and AngioJet cases
- Scrub cardiac cath lab procedures and maintain a sterile field throughout each case
- Operate and work with specialized equipment, including GE systems, Abiomed Impella devices, balloon pumps, FFR equipment, and AngioJet technology
- Provide safe, compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients before, during, and after procedures
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and the interdisciplinary procedural team
- Float as directed within the scope of clinical experience and departmental policy
- Complete required orientation and facility education modules
