Travel Nursing Job Details

- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Patient Ratios: Typically 4:1, with the possibility of flexing up to 6:1 based on staffing and patient acuity

PCU RN Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Florida
- At least 2 years of progressive care or comparable acute-care nursing experience
- Recent experience caring for orthopedic, surgical, and medically complex patients
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Proficiency with electronic medical records; Epic experience preferred
- Required degree accreditation verification, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant nursing experience in lieu of verification when applicable
- Willingness to float when needed and function as an integrated member of the progressive care team
- Ability to work three 12-hour night shifts each week in an on-site healthcare setting
Progressive Care RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in a progressive care setting
- Monitor patients with changing conditions and identify clinical deterioration promptly
- Care for orthopedic and general surgical patients throughout their recovery
- Administer medications and treatments safely and evaluate patient responses
- Perform focused assessments, interpret clinical findings, and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Coordinate care, provide patient and family education, and support safe transitions
- Maintain accurate patient documentation in Epic
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Float to other appropriate units when required to support patient care and staffing needs
