Travel Nursing Job Details

- Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.; rotating weekends

- Duration: 13 weeks
- Work Setting: On-site medical-surgical telemetry unit
Travel RN Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience, preferably in a medical-surgical telemetry setting
- Current, unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse license required at submission
- Healthcare Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Previous cardiac telemetry monitoring experience required
- Orthopedic and bariatric nursing experience preferred
- Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and teamwork skills
Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to acutely ill adults and patients recovering from emergent or elective surgical procedures
- Monitor patients requiring stable cardiac telemetry and promptly recognize changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments safely while evaluating patient responses
- Complete nursing assessments, develop and update individualized care plans, and accurately document clinical findings
- Collaborate with providers, nursing assistants, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, recovery, medications, and discharge needs
- Support high standards of professional nursing care in a fast-paced medical-surgical environment
