Join a 13-week travel Occupational Therapist (OT) assignment in Grand Haven, Michigan, providing skilled hospital rehabilitation and patient-centered care. Occupational Therapist Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a hospital or rehabilitation setting
- Current Michigan Occupational Therapist license
- Current BLS certification
- Experience with Epic electronic medical records required
- Ability to complete required competency, credentialing, and compliance requirements
- Strong communication, clinical reasoning, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
Occupational Therapy Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized occupational therapy plans of care
- Provide skilled therapeutic interventions to improve functional mobility, independence, and quality of life
- Document evaluations, treatment progress, and discharge recommendations accurately in Epic
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, rehabilitation professionals, patients, and caregivers to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, safety strategies, and home exercise programs
- Monitor patient response to treatment and modify interventions as clinically appropriate
- Participate in care planning and support a high standard of patient-centered hospital rehabilitation
