Travel CT Technologist Job Details

CT Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist, Computed Tomography Technologist, or Radiologic Technologist performing CT imaging
• ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT)
• Ability to perform diagnostic CT examinations safely and accurately
• Strong understanding of radiation safety, patient positioning, contrast procedures, and CT imaging protocols
• Effective communication skills and a patient-centered approach
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, including weekend assignments
• Current credentials and any required Illinois state or facility documentation must be maintained throughout the assignment

CT Imaging Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT examinations according to established protocols
• Prepare patients for CT procedures, explain examinations, and promote patient comfort and safety
• Operate CT equipment and monitor image quality throughout each examination
• Apply appropriate radiation safety practices for patients, visitors, and staff
• Review patient histories and screening information before imaging procedures
• Document procedures accurately and communicate relevant findings or concerns to the care team
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient CT imaging environment
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support timely patient care
