Travel Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-Week Night Shift Contract

Travel Nursing Job Details
- Position: Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN)
- Location: Palmer, Massachusetts
- Employment Type: Travel nursing contract
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,310-$2,440
- Start Date: October 5, 2026
- Contract End Date: January 3, 2027
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
- Unit: 46-bed medical-surgical and intermediate-care unit, including 40 acute-care beds and 6 intermediate-care beds
- Typical Patient Ratios: 5-6 patients on days and 6-7 patients on nights
- Weekend and Holiday Requirement: Scheduled according to unit needs, with every other weekend at most
- Openings: 2
Med/Surg Tele RN Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Massachusetts
- At least 1 year of recent acute-care nursing experience; 1-2 years of medical-surgical or telemetry nursing experience preferred
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Strong patient assessment, prioritization, medication administration, and clinical communication skills
- Ability to provide safe, compassionate nursing care in a high-acuity environment and adapt to changing patient needs
- Willingness to float to a surge unit or emergency department area as needed to care for medical-surgical patients
Travel RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients throughout the night shift
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, assess changes in patient condition, and promptly escalate clinical concerns
- Administer medications and treatments safely while following established clinical protocols
- Complete focused and comprehensive nursing assessments, develop individualized plans of care, and evaluate patient outcomes
- Coordinate care with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support timely interventions and effective patient flow
- Support admissions, transfers, discharges, patient education, and accurate clinical documentation
- Float to designated areas when needed while maintaining safe care for medical-surgical patients
- Promote patient safety, comfort, dignity, and adherence to infection-prevention standards
