• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM

• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks, ending January 30, 2027

Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent full-time equivalent nursing experience within the last 3 years
• Recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience; high-risk L&D experience is strongly preferred
• At least 1 year of high-risk Labor & Delivery experience within the last 2 years preferred
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current Registered Nurse license valid in California
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field preferred
• Five or more years of recent Labor & Delivery experience preferred

Labor & Delivery Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients, postpartum patients, and newborns according to established standards
• Monitor maternal and fetal status and promptly identify changes requiring intervention
• Support patients through normal and high-risk labor and delivery processes
• Administer medications and treatments safely while documenting care accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the multidisciplinary obstetric care team
• Assist with emergency procedures and neonatal stabilization as needed
• Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care
• Promote a safe, respectful, and supportive experience for every patient and family
