Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Endoscopy | 13-Week Contract in Elmira, New York

Join a collaborative endoscopy team as a Travel Registered Nurse in Elmira, NY, and provide high-quality inpatient and outpatient procedural care. This on-site travel nursing assignment is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Endoscopy RN–or an OR nurse with endoscopy training–to support patient care in a welcoming Southern Tier community near the Finger Lakes region.

Endoscopy Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in New York
• At least 1 year of professional nursing experience
• Endoscopy nursing experience or operating room experience with endoscopy training
• Ability to provide safe, compassionate nursing care to inpatient and outpatient populations
• Strong patient assessment, clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to participate in scheduled call coverage and adapt to changing staffing needs
• Commitment to patient safety, ethical nursing practice, teamwork, and professional accountability

Endoscopy RN Responsibilities

• Assess patients systematically and develop individualized, goal-directed plans of care
• Provide skilled nursing care throughout the endoscopy experience, including patient preparation, procedural support, recovery, and follow-up
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes promptly, and respond appropriately to emergency situations
• Collaborate with physicians, procedural staff, patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
• Administer nursing care and interventions according to established standards, policies, and procedures
• Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and outcomes accurately and promptly
• Promote patient education, comfort, dignity, and understanding throughout the care experience
• Prioritize care effectively while using available personnel, equipment, supplies, and other clinical resources responsibly
• Participate in call coverage and maintain reliable communication when coverage changes are needed
• Contribute to a respectful, collaborative, and quality-focused endoscopy care environment
