Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Jobs – Antioch, California
Join our California travel nursing team as an ICU Registered Nurse (RN) in Antioch, CA, earning an estimated $2,810-$2,960 weekly. Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,810-$2,960
- Location: Antioch, California
- Healthcare Setting: On-site Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Start Date: September 7, 2026
- End Date: December 5, 2026
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
ICU Travel RN Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent, full-time-equivalent nursing experience within the last 3 years
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state where care is provided
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to respond effectively in a high-acuity critical care environment
- Preferred: 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or related degree
- Preferred: NIH Stroke Scale certification and CCRN certification
- Preferred: Experience with dialysis, SLED, or an equivalent therapy
Critical Care Nursing Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the Intensive Care Unit
- Perform ongoing patient assessments, recognize changes in condition, and escalate concerns promptly
- Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring patient response
- Manage and monitor critical care equipment, invasive lines, and complex therapies within scope of practice
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
- Respond to emergent situations using established critical care protocols
- Educate patients and families and provide compassionate support during complex episodes of care
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and provide thorough shift-to-shift handoff communication
