Travel Nursing Job Details
- Specialty: Neurology / Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Nursing
- Location: Des Moines, Iowa
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,930-$2,030
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- Assignment Duration: Approximately 26 weeks, through April 18, 2027
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m.-7:30 p.m.
- Schedule: 36 hours per week; every other weekend and every other holiday
- Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse assignment
Travel RN Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Iowa
- At least 1 year of recent experience in neurology, medical-surgical, or telemetry nursing
- Demonstrated ability to assess and care for adult patients with neurological and medical-surgical conditions
- Strong clinical judgment, patient assessment, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, including every other weekend and holiday rotations
Neuro RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with neurological and medical-surgical conditions
- Perform focused neurological assessments and promptly report changes in patient status
- Monitor telemetry, vital signs, laboratory results, and patient responses to treatment
- Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with established standards
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge needs
- Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to promote positive patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and support a safe patient-care environment
