Travel Respiratory Therapist Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,730-$1,860
- Healthcare Setting: Hospital respiratory therapy department
- Location: Broken Arrow, Oklahoma 74012, a Tulsa-area community offering parks, local shopping and dining, and convenient access to the broader Tulsa metropolitan area
- Assignment Dates: October 26, 2026-December 27, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 p.m.-7:15 a.m.
- Hours: 36 hours per week
Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience
- Recent experience with ventilators, ventilator weaning, tracheostomy care, endotracheal tubes, CPAP, BiPAP, and nebulizer treatments
- Current National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential
- Current Oklahoma Respiratory Therapist license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications through the American Heart Association
- Ability to provide safe, timely, and patient-centered cardiopulmonary care in a hospital environment
Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities
- Provide diagnostic and therapeutic cardiopulmonary services to inpatient and outpatient populations
- Follow medical staff-approved protocols and departmental policies and procedures
- Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive respiratory procedures
- Administer medicated aerosol treatments using medical compressed gas
- Maintain airways and provide ventilator management, including ventilator weaning
- Perform or assist with arterial line placement, intubations, pulmonary function studies, cardiac and pulmonary stress testing, and blood gas collection
- Deliver responsive respiratory care while monitoring patient condition and treatment effectiveness
