• Duration: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Schedule: 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts
• Shift Hours: 6:45 p.m. – 7:15 a.m.
• Work Setting: On-site Emergency Department

Emergency Department RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or applicable compact licensure
• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to provide safe, effective care during night shifts in a high-acuity emergency setting
• Strong patient assessment, communication, prioritization, and clinical decision-making skills

Emergency Department Travel RN Responsibilities

• Deliver timely, patient-centered nursing care to individuals presenting with a wide range of emergency conditions
• Perform focused patient assessments, monitor patient status, and promptly communicate changes to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with orders, protocols, and established nursing standards
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient evaluation, treatment, and disposition
• Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation
• Provide patient and family education, emotional support, and discharge instructions
• Promote a safe, respectful, and efficient environment for patients and healthcare colleagues
