MRI Technologist Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience working as an MRI Technologist
- Current MRI technologist registration or certification
- Demonstrated proficiency with MRI procedures using contrast and non-contrast protocols
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and rotating weekends
- Strong understanding of MRI safety, patient screening, and diagnostic imaging quality standards
- Breast MRI experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and a patient-focused approach
General MRI Technologist Responsibilities
- Perform general MRI examinations using contrast and non-contrast techniques
- Safely screen patients for MRI contraindications and clearly explain examination procedures
- Prepare and position patients appropriately while providing attentive care throughout each examination
- Operate GE MRI equipment according to department protocols and MRI safety standards
- Review MRI images for technical quality and repeat sequences when necessary
- Document examinations accurately in the Cerner electronic medical record
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the diagnostic imaging team
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe MRI imaging environment
