- Schedule: 3 shifts per week
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Setting: On-site hospital assignment
Travel Nurse Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry nursing
- Active Registered Nurse license, with a permanent Ohio RN license or compact license in hand at the time of submission
- Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications in hand at the time of submission
- Recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty
- Strong cardiac rhythm recognition and medication-safety knowledge
- Ability to successfully complete required orientation assessments and onboarding activities
- Must meet applicable background screening, drug screening, and credentialing requirements
- Ability to complete required pre-start and annual educational modules
Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to adult patients in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and update individualized plans of care, and evaluate outcomes
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments safely while following established clinical protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record
- Respond promptly to changes in patient status and escalate concerns appropriately
