Med/Surg LPN Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,230-$1,300
- Location: Asheville, North Carolina
- Healthcare Setting: On-site hospital medical-surgical unit
- Assignment Type: 13-week LPN travel contract
- Start Date: May 25, 2026
- End Date: August 24, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 6:45 a.m.-7:15 p.m.
LPN Travel Job Requirements
- Current LPN/LVN license eligible for practice in North Carolina
- At least 1 year of practical nursing experience, preferably in a medical-surgical setting
- Strong knowledge of basic nursing principles, patient safety, and infection prevention
- Ability to provide dependable patient care during 12-hour day shifts
- Strong communication, organization, and interdisciplinary teamwork skills
Med/Surg LPN Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult patients on a medical-surgical unit
- Monitor patient conditions, obtain vital signs, and report changes promptly
- Administer medications and treatments within the scope of licensure and facility policy
- Assist with activities of daily living, mobility, hygiene, and comfort measures
- Complete accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with registered nurses, providers, patients, and families to support individualized care plans
- Follow clinical protocols, infection-control standards, and patient-safety procedures
