Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-Week Contract in Beckley, WV
Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity in Beckley, West Virginia, caring for adult patients on a collaborative hospital team. Travel Nurse Job Details
- Specialty: Medical-Surgical Nursing
- Location: Beckley, WV
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800-$1,890
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m.
- Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week, approximately three shifts weekly
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: September 14, 2026
- End Date: December 14, 2026
- Orientation: Biweekly on Wednesdays
- Openings: 1
- Travel Requirement: Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the assignment location to qualify for travel status
Medical-Surgical RN Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in West Virginia
- At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
- Current required nursing certifications must be completed before the assignment start date
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and fulfill the 36-hour weekly commitment
- Strong clinical judgment, patient communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Successful completion of applicable facility onboarding and compliance requirements
Travel RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients throughout each shift
- Assess patient conditions, identify changes in status, and promptly communicate concerns to the healthcare team
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to established protocols
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support positive patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
- Complete accurate, timely clinical documentation while maintaining patient privacy and safety standards
