CT Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist, CT Tech, or computed tomography technologist
• Current CT Technologist certification or credential required to practice in West Virginia
• Demonstrated knowledge of CT imaging procedures, patient safety, and radiation safety practices
• Ability to obtain and maintain all required facility and travel healthcare credentials before the start of the assignment
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to patient care
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital radiology and diagnostic imaging environment

Travel CT Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT examinations according to established protocols and department standards
• Prepare patients for CT procedures, explain the examination process, and promote comfort and safety
• Review imaging orders and patient histories to ensure appropriate preparation and positioning
• Operate CT equipment and evaluate images for technical quality before submission for radiologist interpretation
• Apply radiation safety principles and follow infection prevention procedures
• Document examinations accurately in the electronic medical record and imaging systems
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, physicians, and other members of the hospital care team
