Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Contract in Garfield Heights, Ohio
Join a 13-week Medical-Surgical/Telemetry travel nursing assignment near Cleveland, Ohio, providing expert care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients on night shifts. Travel RN Job Details
- Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Nursing
- Location: Garfield Heights, Ohio 44125, near Cleveland
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910-$2,010
- Start Date: October 23, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m.-7:30 a.m.
- Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse assignment
Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent permanent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience
- Active permanent Ohio RN license or active compact RN license in hand at the time of submission
- Active AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIHSS certification completed before the start date, with willingness to obtain it if needed
- One recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, director, or charge nurse within the specialty; reference should be from an assignment worked within the past 12 months
- Successful completion of required ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments during orientation
- Ability to meet applicable background, credentialing, and clinical compliance requirements
Travel Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Assess patient conditions, identify changes in clinical status, and communicate concerns promptly
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, laboratory results, and other relevant clinical data
- Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with current standards and protocols
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and other members of the care team
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record
