Job Requirements
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- At least 1 year of respiratory therapy experience preferred
- Experience supporting hospital patients with a variety of respiratory needs
- Ability to work independently on the night shift in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Assess patients with breathing concerns and evaluate respiratory status
- Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy
- Set up, monitor, and manage mechanical ventilators for patients who require support
- Respond to urgent respiratory needs, including CPR and other emergency interventions
- Document patient care accurately and collaborate with physicians on treatment plans
- Educate patients and families on disease management and home equipment use
