• Schedule: Rotating 12-hour day and night shifts
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Start Date: 10/26/2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,050 – $2,160
• Setting: Emergency Department in a short-term acute care hospital
• Unit Size: 20 beds
• Patient Volume: Approximately 80 visits per day
• Weekend Requirement: Yes, no more than every other weekend
• Float Requirement: May float to meet unit needs
• Charting System: Epic

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• At least 1 year of ER nursing experience required; 1.5 years preferred
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
• Strong skills in dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with triage, central line care, IV vasopressors, BiPAP/CPAP, and ventilated patients
• Ability to manage multisystem patients in a high-acuity emergency department environment
• Comfort using an electronic health record (EHR) system such as Epic
• Compact license must be active at time of submission

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Assess, stabilize, and monitor patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions
• Perform triage and prioritize care based on acuity and clinical need
• Support stroke center protocols and respond quickly to rapidly changing patient conditions
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced respiratory support as needed
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
• Document care accurately and timely in the charting system
• Collaborate with physicians, providers, and the care team to support efficient, compassionate patient care
