Job Details

• Position: Physical Therapist (PT)
• Employment Type: Travel Physical Therapist
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,580 – $1,700
• Hours Per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days
• Schedule: Day shift, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Location: Salem, Virginia
• Setting: Hospital-based therapy department / acute care therapy
• Documentation System: Medi-tech
• Equipment Highlights: C-Mill, FES bike, BITs, NMES, and Excite

Job Requirements

• Active Physical Therapist license
• At least 1 year of physical therapy experience preferred
• Experience in an inpatient rehab, acute care, or hospital setting highly preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and patient-centered care skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with therapy assistants and support staff
• Comfortable documenting in an electronic medical record system

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with a wide range of mobility, strength, and functional challenges
• Develop individualized treatment plans to support recovery, independence, and improved outcomes
• Provide skilled physical therapy interventions using current rehabilitation equipment and techniques
• Work closely with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient progress and discharge planning
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using the EMR system
• Deliver compassionate, high-quality care that promotes confidence and supports recovery
