- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 – $2,010
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
- Unit Highlights: 17-bed intermediate tele unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact license
- At least 1 year of RN experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
- Strong telemetry interpretation skills and comfort with stepdown-level patient care
- Ability to work night shifts in a high-acuity, fast-moving acute care environment
- Experience with dysrhythmia recognition preferred
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized plans of care
- Monitor telemetry and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications safely and in accordance with nursing standards
- Care for patients with cardiac, respiratory, renal, stroke/TIA, and post-op needs
- Manage therapies such as oxygen support, drips, chest tubes, drains, and wound vacs
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and families while supporting safe discharge planning
- Maintain a compassionate, patient-centered approach in a busy clinical setting
