- Setting: Surgical / Operating Room / Perioperative Services
- Location: Virginia Beach, VA
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 – $2,250
- Start Date: 11/2/2026
- Duration: 9 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or compact licensure eligible
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Operating Room RN or surgical nursing experience
- Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing standards, sterile technique, and surgical safety protocols
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operating room environment
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
- Comfortable supporting both routine and complex surgical cases
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Assist the surgical team with operating room preparation, instrument handling, and patient positioning
- Maintain sterile field practices and follow all safety protocols to support quality patient care
- Monitor patient status throughout the perioperative process and respond to changes as needed
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and fellow clinical staff to support high-quality surgical outcomes
- Document patient care accurately and promptly according to clinical and facility standards
- Support a safe, efficient, and patient-centered surgical services workflow
