Job Requirements
- Active Alabama LPN/LVN license in good standing
- Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg nursing or acute care experience preferred
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- IV certification required
- Cerner experience required
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently while supporting RN-directed patient care
Responsibilities
- Provide delegated direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse
- Perform patient assessments, data collection, and clinical documentation according to policy
- Assist with activities of daily living, medication administration, and peripheral IV therapy
- Support discharge planning and implementation of physician orders
- Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and evidence-based best practices
- Deliver safe, compassionate care while supporting smooth Med/Surg unit workflow
- Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel as appropriate
