Job Details
- Position: ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse Assignment
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 – $2,010
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour days
- Hours Per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Call Requirement: None
- Orientation: Weekly orientation available on Mondays
- Location: Somerset, KY 42503
Job Requirements
- Active RN license and eligibility to work as a Registered Nurse in Kentucky
- At least 1 year of acute care nursing experience preferred; 1-2 years strongly desired
- Current BLS certification
- Current NIHSS certification
- Ability to provide care in a high-acuity ICU and critical care setting
- Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
- Willingness to float within a 25-mile radius if needed
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care to ICU patients
- Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in status
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support patient care plans
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record
- Support neuro-focused and general critical care needs within the unit
- Maintain professionalism, flexibility, and a patient-first mindset in a fast-paced acute care environment
