Job Details
- Assignment Type: Travel nursing job
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,670 – $2,820
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
- Shift Schedule: Day and evening openings available
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Call: Required; one night of call per week and one weekend of call per month
- Charting System: EPIC
- Setting: Acute care CVOR
Job Requirements
- Active RN license and current BLS certification from AHA
- At least 1 year of experience in cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery
- Strong CVOR experience required; prior travel nurse experience preferred
- Ability to manage a fast-paced cardiovascular operating room with complex cases
- Comfortable with mandatory call and a 30-minute response time
- Flexibility to float within other OR services as needed
- Professional, team-oriented approach with strong clinical judgment
Responsibilities
- Support a wide range of cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures
- Assist with cases such as CABG, valve repair and replacement, ECMO, transplant, robotic and open thoracic procedures, and advanced vascular interventions
- Provide safe, efficient perioperative nursing care throughout the surgical process
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR staff to maintain high standards of patient care
- Participate in call coverage and remain available for emergent surgical needs
- Adapt to floating within other Berkeley OR services when needed
- Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and contribute to smooth OR workflow
