Job Details
- Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
- Location: Michigan City, Indiana (46360)
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 5, 2026
- Weekly Hours: 40
- Shift Duration: 10-hour day shifts
- Schedule: Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM
- On-Call: 4 days per month
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,120 – $2,230
- Work Setting: Operating room with 10 surgical rooms and 1:1 patient ratios
- EMR: EPIC
- Additional Perk: Scrubs provided
- Float Requirement: No floating required
Job Requirements
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years of operating room nursing experience required
- Experience with all OR specialties except open heart
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required
- Strong teamwork, adaptability, and attention to detail in a surgical environment
- Prior perioperative nursing or surgical services experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, and efficient care for surgical patients throughout the perioperative experience
- Support a variety of operating room cases while maintaining excellent clinical standards
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the perioperative care team
- Prepare the OR environment, monitor patient needs, and assist with procedures as assigned
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit protocols within EPIC
- Contribute to a positive, organized, and patient-centered surgical workflow
