Join a high-acuity inpatient rehabilitation team in Madison, Wisconsin, where you’ll care for adults on their path to recovery in a supportive, fast-paced environment. This 49-bed rehabilitation setting serves patients with complex needs, including stroke recovery, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, and orthopedic rehabilitation. Located on Madison’s vibrant east side, this area offers a welcoming community feel with easy access to parks, lakes, local dining, and all the energy of a growing Midwest city.
Travel LPN Job Details
- Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Inpatient Rehabilitation
- Assignment Type: Travel LPN / Travel Nursing
- Location: Madison, WI 53718
- Start Date: 10/13/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend with holiday rotations
- Call Requirements: Yes
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,350-$1,420
- Clinical Documentation: EPIC experience required
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:7
LPN Job Requirements
- Active LPN/LVN license
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in skilled nursing or another 24/7 skilled care environment
- Minimum 13 weeks of EPIC experience
- Preferred experience in med-surg, acute care, or inpatient rehabilitation
- BLS certification required
- Ability to thrive in a high-acuity rehabilitation environment and provide dependable team support
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-safety skills
- Willingness to assist CNAs and respond promptly to call lights
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to adult patients receiving inpatient rehabilitation services
- Support patients with complex recovery needs in a setting that functions similarly to a medical-surgical unit
- Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to the care team
- Document care accurately in EPIC electronic health records
- Assist with mobility support using available equipment such as ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Plus, and slide boards
- Work collaboratively with CNAs, rehabilitation staff, and other healthcare professionals to promote patient safety
- Respond to call lights and help maintain a safe, efficient care environment
- Participate in weekend, holiday, and call coverage as scheduled
