Job Details

- Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570 – $1,650

- Environment: 16-bed ICU with a typical patient ratio of 2:1, with occasional 1:1 or 3:1 assignments based on acuity and staffing
- Technology: Meditech documentation system and advanced critical care equipment
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 1 year of ICU nursing experience required
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a high-acuity critical care setting
- Comfort with flexible scheduling, weekend coverage, and rotating assignments as needed
- Ability to adapt to floating assignments when required by patient care needs
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, compassionate, and high-quality care to critically ill patients and their families
- Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in condition
- Assist with advanced ICU procedures, including central line insertion, arterial line placement, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, and EVD insertions
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, effective patient outcomes
- Accurately document patient care in the Meditech EHR system
- Follow unit guidelines, maintain professional standards, and support smooth shift-to-shift transitions
- Participate in a rotating schedule with a minimum of 4 weekend shifts per schedule period
- Float to med/surg when needed to support staffing demands and patient care coverage
