- Schedule: 3 shifts per week
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Orientation: 76 hours
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,830 – $1,930
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in hand at the time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience required
- At least 1 year of travel nursing experience required
- Current hands-on acute care experience in the specialty required
- Epic charting experience required
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
- Experience with a 1:4 patient ratio preferred
- Ability to work night shifts and float as needed
- Professional references required at submission
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality emergency nursing care in a fast-paced ED environment
- Care for adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
- Support oncology patients presenting with urgent and complex medical needs
- Perform triage and prioritize care in a high-acuity setting
- Start and maintain IVs, administer emergency medications, and support telemetry monitoring
- Assist with BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, and blood product administration
- Interpret dysrhythmias and obtain 12-lead EKGs/ECGs
- Support stroke, STEMI, and trauma protocols as appropriate
- Maintain infection control practices and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Provide compassionate, efficient patient care while adapting to changing clinical needs
