- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
Job Requirements
- Active RN license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of total acute care nursing experience
- At least 1 year of PCU / stepdown nursing experience
- Current acute care experience required within the last 12 months
- BLS and ACLS required
- Epic charting experience required
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Strong telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
- Ability to work rotating day and night schedules
- Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality stepdown nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with complex hematology and oncology needs
- Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias promptly and accurately
- Administer blood products, IV therapy, electrolytes, and IV antibiotics
- Manage central lines, PICC lines, peripheral IVs, and port access as needed
- Support infection prevention and patient fall prevention initiatives
- Collaborate with rapid response teams and interdisciplinary support services
- Maintain safe, efficient care in a busy 24-bed acute care unit with changing patient needs
- Document thoroughly in Epic and communicate effectively with the care team
