- Assignment Length: 17 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
- Shift Schedule: Days, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Shifts per Week: 3 shifts per week
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Charting System: MEDITECH
- Care Setting: Acute care hospital
Job Requirements
- Active RN license required
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required, including at least 1 travel nursing assignment
- Current BLS certification from AHA required
- Current NIHSS certification from AHA required
- MEDITECH experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Med/Surg environment
- Ability to float to other acute care areas as needed
- Comfortable working every other weekend and holidays as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients
- Monitor patient conditions, assess changes, and respond appropriately to clinical needs
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders and unit standards
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in MEDITECH
- Support unit flow by assisting with floating assignments as needed
- Maintain professionalism, flexibility, and a patient-centered approach throughout the assignment
