Job Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice or compact license eligibility
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in telemetry, critical care, cardiac cath lab, ER, or OR
- Cardiac interventional cath lab experience required
- Experience scrubbing in for cardiac interventional procedures
- ARRT certification required
- ACLS preferred at hire and required within 6 months of hire
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to respond quickly to urgent STEMI call-backs
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
- Conduct and interpret patient assessments to create and update individualized plans of care
- Assist as a scrub nurse and circulator during cardiac catheterization procedures
- Support complex interventions such as pacemaker implants, ablations, TAVR, and thrombectomy procedures
- Monitor hemodynamic status and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and conscious sedation safely and in accordance with policy
- Collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure excellent patient outcomes
- Participate in on-call coverage for evenings, weekends, holidays, and urgent cardiac cases
