Permanent Sykesville, Maryland 2 Weeks 8 Hour Days

Job Description

Registered Dietitian – Well-Being & Clinical Nutrition
Full-Time | Monday-Friday | Senior Living / Long-Term Care & Wellness
Are you a Registered Dietitian who enjoys clinical nutrition but wants more variety than a traditional long-term care role?
We’re recruiting for a full-time Well-Being & Clinical Dietitian opportunity with a stable, nonprofit senior living organization known for its beautiful communities, strong employee tenure, and commitment to helping older adults stay healthy, active, and independent. This is a unique position that combines traditional clinical dietetics with wellness, education, and preventive nutrition.

What You'll Do

  • Provide clinical nutrition services for residents in long-term care, including nutritional assessments, care planning, medical record documentation, and required  regulatory documentation.
  • Conduct individualized nutrition and well-being consultations with independent living residents focused on maintaining or improving their overall health.
  • Develop personalized nutrition recommendations based on resident goals, assessments, medical history, and lifestyle.
  • Provide group education, wellness programming, lectures, and informal nutrition Q&A sessions for independent residents
  • Participate in interdisciplinary well-being initiatives alongside nursing, rehabilitation, fitness, mental health, and other professionals.
  • Monitor high-risk residents and collaborate with nursing and culinary leadership to address changing nutritional needs.

Schedule & Locations

  • Full-time Monday-Friday/daytime hours
  • Home-base community with approximately 3 days per week at your primary location and 2 days at a nearby partner community
???????

Benefits & Perks

  • 22+ days of PTO, increasing with tenure, plus paid holidays
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Professional development and leadership programs
  • Professional credential renewal and state licensure support
  • Professional association membership support
  • Wellness programs with financial incentives
  • University partnerships and continuing education opportunities
  • Employee appreciation and recognition programs
  • Long-term career opportunities within a large, established nonprofit organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field
  • Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential required
  • Appropriate state licensure, if required
  • 1-3+ years of healthcare, clinical nutrition, management, and/or wellness experience preferred
  • Long-term care or senior living experience is a plus
  • Health Coach Certification preferred or willingness to obtain within six months of employment
  • Comfortable working independently and managing responsibilities across two locations
  • Strong communication skills and an interest in both clinical nutrition and preventive wellness

Why This Role Is Different
This isn't a position where your entire week is spent completing long-term care documentation.
You'll work across the continuum of senior living, supporting both residents who require clinical nutrition intervention and active, independent older adults who want guidance on maintaining their health and well-being.
The organization has continued to invest in its nutrition and wellness program, creating new dietitian positions to expand services beyond traditional long-term care. You'll have flexibility in how you educate and engage residents, whether that's through individual consultations, small groups, lectures, or other wellness initiatives.
