Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – Silver Spring, MD
Join a dynamic Labor & Delivery nursing team in Silver Spring, MD 20910, just outside Washington, D.C. This 13-week travel Registered Nurse (RN) assignment offers the chance to provide compassionate, high-impact maternal care in a busy maternity and childbirth setting.
Job Details
- Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
- Shift: 12 Hour Nights
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 08/30/2026
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,890 – $1,990
- Location: Silver Spring, MD 20910
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Prior Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- At least 1 year of nursing experience preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, night-shift clinical environment
- Experience collaborating with physicians, providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery
- Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Support safe deliveries by assisting with procedures and maintaining a calm, reassuring presence
- Educate and advocate for patients and families throughout the birthing process
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and thoroughly
- Work closely with the care team to promote excellent outcomes and a positive patient experience
