Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Active RN license in Ohio or current Compact RN license (acceptable for Ohio travel nursing)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room (ER) nursing or ED experience
- BLS (AHA) required; ACLS and PALS preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
- Experience administering emergency medications and treatments
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients presenting with acute and urgent conditions in the Emergency Room
- Assess, triage, and monitor patients; prioritize care in a high-volume ER environment
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary team members
- Document patient care accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations, codes, and critical events
- Educate patients and families on diagnosis, care plans, and discharge instructions
